Vacuum casting

“We can encapsulate your needs in resin parts quickly and economically”

Vacuum casting is a very versatile technology, capable of producing parts in a wide range of polyurethane (PU) resins to replicate and replace industrial polymers with prototypes and final production parts.

The manufacturing technique is perfect for low volume production, where injection molding is not profitable.

Process

  1. Master model: The master model is designed from a three-dimensional model and printed in 3D.
  2. According to the characteristics, benefits or results that are to be obtained, once the design has been finalized, the most appropriate material will be determined, be they silicones, polyurethane resins or other.
  3. Placement in the machine: The mold is placed in the vacuum casting machine.
  4. The resin is added: The compound of two resins for casting A + B, mixes in the upper compartment.
  5. Drying the piece in the oven: After the casting phase, the mold is placed in the oven to dry it.
  6. Part removal: After drying, the finished part is removed from the mold, which can be reused for the next production cycle.

Through vacuum casting systems, the Technical Office Dept. from the Laboratorio Electrotécnico, you can create high-quality parts that accurately reproduce the performance benefits of injection molded parts, without the long set-up times and associated process loads.

Vacuum casting is a very versatile technology, capable of producing parts in a series of polyurethane (PU) resins to replicate and replace industrial polymers with prototyping and short-run production.

Among its most common applications are replacement parts, complementary elements to the customer’s product, replacement of discontinued elements, etc.

Prototype design

“We create, design and manufacture prototypes and special and unique elements for your industry”

A prototype is an apparent but concrete representation of part or all of a business idea or a product or service. This will incorporate the basic elements to make it functional, testable, and to answer a series of questions about the business viability of the idea and how it is implemented. Prototyping means that you are creating the minimum necessary to validate your idea.

Using prototyping, the customer can:

      • Test / validate new ideas quickly.
      • Understand the keys to user interaction.
      • Improve the user experience and iterate over it.
      • Demonstrate the ability of a product (demoing).
      • Validate the appearance design detail: Define the purpose of sizes, colors, shadows, etc.

Types of prototypes according to their function:

      • Design prototypes: They are used to evaluate aesthetic and ergonomic aspects.
      • Geometric prototypes: They are used to test geometric agreement, shape and assemblies.
      • Functional prototypes: They show the characteristics and patterns of behavior in a test of the final product.
      • Technical prototypes: They are used to evaluate all the functions of the final piece.

There are many ways to prototype, it depends on the type of idea you have; The construction of a prototype of a product or that of a service is not the same; At Laboratorio Electrotécnico, we help create, design and manufacture prototypes and special and unique elements for your industry.

Machining (CNC)

“We mechanize your ideas”

Machining (CNC) is a manufacturing process in which a set of operations are performed to manufacture parts by extracting material from a block. Said operations are carried out on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, which, starting from 3D data and a CAM machining program, perform the programmed tasks automatically.

Regardless of the size, complexity of design or quantity of parts, our experienced team and machinery allow us to obtain excellent results at very competitive prices and terms.

Our machines, due to their flexibility, precision and versatility, help reduce manufacturing times by minimizing errors. At Laboratorio Electrotécnico, we offer the machining of single pieces or short series of pieces from a wide range of technical materials, both plastic and metal.
