Among its activities it also has the development of new equipment, tools and tooling responsible for increasing the efficiency and, therefore, the productivity of the transformer’s integral manufacturing process.

The design of new products is led by the company’s Management, providing its R&D department with powerful tools capable of developing new, robust and efficient devices. Design assisted by Finite Elements to find the optimal solution in terms of electrical, thermal, mechanical and magnetic design.

Laboratorio Electrotécnico has worked together with the Department of Electrical Engineering of the ETSEIB (UPC) to carry out tests on prototypes of new products. It also participates in technical committees and groupings in the electricity sector to always be up to date with the latest technological advances.

It incorporates all the variables that influence the final power and precision performance of the transformers.

Thus, the use of raw materials is optimized and, therefore, the costs of copper, magnetic plate or solid insulators are reduced, resulting in a less heavy transformer with smaller dimensions, but with the maximum expected performance of it, is say, a more efficient transformer.
